In 2002 ben ik begonnen mee te doen aan internationale fotowedstrijden van de FIAP (Fédération Internationale de L'Art Photographique). Bij deelname aan een internationale wedstrijd kan je inzending worden geaccepteerd voor een tentoonstelling. In 2007 behaalde ik mijn A ( Artiste) FIAP. Ik voldeed aan de toen gestelde normen: 5 jaar in het bezit zijn van de eerste acceptatie van een internationale salon door FIAP erkend, en tenminste 10 acceptaties met 5 verschillende werken hebben behaald bij 5 verschillende salons in minimaal 3 verschillende landen. 
FIAP is een organisatie die erkend is door de UNESCO. Er zijn nu 85 landen lid van FIAP. Elke 2 jaar organiseert FIAP een congres, waar alle aangesloten nationale federaties stemrecht hebben. Elk aangesloten land heeft slechts één stem, Nederland niet meer dan bijv. Andorra of Cyprus. FIAP organiseert ook exposities, die vaak samenvallen met de congressen. Verder verleent FIAP onder bepaalde voorwaarden bescherming (patronage) aan internationale salons en kan zij onderscheidingen verstrekken aan individuele personen. FIAP verzorgt ook collecties, die ten dienste staan aan de leden.
Ondertussen heb ik mijn  E ( Exellence) FIAP behaald. De eissen waren toen dat je 1 jaar in het bezit moest zijn van AFIAP, 150 acceptaties, met 50 verschillende werken, bij tenminste 30 verschillende internationale salons bij minimaal 15 verschillende landen.
Als je een titel hebt behaald wordt van je verwacht dat je deelneemt aan de landelijke fiap groep. Jaarlijks komt de landelijke gespreksgroep van de FIAP van de fotobond 4x bij elkaar.

Voor 2013 heb ik mijn M FIAP aangevraagd, een portfolio van 20 werken ingediend, en aangenomen. Hiermee ben ik de 1e vrouw en de 6e Nederlander die deze title mag dragen.

Furthermore, under certain conditions, grant FIAP protection ( patronage ) in international salons and they can provide awards to individuals . FIAP also provides collections , which serve to members .Meanwhile I have my E ( Excellence ) FIAP achieved. The Eissen were when you had to be AFIAP , 150 acceptances , with 50 different works , at least 30 international salons at least 15 different countries . Possess 1 yearIf you have obtained a title of you are expected to take part in the nationwide FIAP group . Each year, the national support group of the FIAP photo tied 4X comes together .For 2013, I got my M FIAP requested , submitted a portfolio of 20 works , and adopted. With this , I am the 1st and the 6th Dutch woman who can bear this title .
